5 MIDDLE GRADE NOVELS WITH TOUGH TOPICS

Real kids have real problems. And they benefit from meeting characters with similar dilemmas. #MGGetsReal focuses on a few middle grade novels that can help readers navigate life's struggles.

We, the authors, are giving away a set of five novels that get real about tough topics. The giveaway is for teachers, home school parents, and school librarians in hopes that these stories will be incorporated into the educational experience.

Issues involved are Alzheimers, School Integration, Post-war trauma, the bombing of Hiroshima, and the 9/11 attacks.

Our books have other themes as well. Common ingredients are change, relationship struggles, and of course, hope! We believe your students will find friends in the pages of these books.

We'll give away the set of books starting on August 16. Please note the Rafflecopter widget at the bottom of this post.

We're participating in a number of other blogs this month also and some of those involve individual book contests. We're linking to those blogs at the top right hand side of this page. You'll find more info about each of us in the sidebar.  We'd love to hear from you!

The Authors:

Shannon Wiersbitzky,  Shannon Hitchcock, Joyce Moyer Hostetter,  Kathleen Burkinshaw,  Kerry O'Malley Cerra
